Denny Berni
A former catcher in the Boston Red Sox organization, Denny Berni leads the Etobicoke Rangers baseball program. Denny is firmly implanted in the Toronto baseball community, as he is the founder of one of the top baseball schools in Canada with Pro Teach Baseball in addition to being both a key coach and administrator with the highly successful Etobicoke Rangers Baseball Organization.
A former catcher in the Boston Red Sox organization, Denny Berni leads the Etobicoke Rangers baseball program. Denny is firmly implanted in the Toronto baseball community, as he is the founder of one of the top baseball schools in Canada with Pro Teach Baseball in addition to being both a key coach and administrator with the highly successful Etobicoke Rangers Baseball Organization.
During his amateur career, Denny was a member of four Ontario Championship teams, and he represented the province in three Canadian Championships. After high school, Denny attended Orange Coast College and Southern California College on a baseball scholarship. At Southern California College, he was twice named an N.A.I.A. California State All-Star, and in his junior year he recorded a batting average of .420 — which still stands as a season best.
After his senior year at S.C.C., Denny signed with the Boston Red Sox and spent four years in the Boston Red Sox farm system. In the fall of 1993, Denny led Boston’s Instructional League with a .322 batting average. During his time in the minors, he worked with some of baseball’s greatest hitting instructors, including Jim Rice, Carl Yastremski and Terry Crowley.

Zach Prisciak
Zach graduated from the University of British Columbia (NAIA) after playing there for 5 years as a catcher. Zach is also a Driveline certified instructor at Pro Teach baseball, where for the past 9 years he has been instructing in all aspects of the game. This will be Zach's 5th year coaching with the Rangers, after playing in the organization for 6 years prior.

Andrew Hyde
Prior to coming to the Rangers, Andrew was a graduate of Notre Dame College (OH), where he was a 4-year starting pitcher for the Falcons from 2009-2012. After graduating, Andrew served as the Pitching Coach at Humber College from 2015-2018, and he is returning to this role for the 2024 season. This is his 9th year in the Rangers organization as a pitching coach.

Geoff McCallum
McCallum brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Rangers, and runs the High Performance program at Pro Teach Baseball. McCallum was born in London and played collegiately at Stetson University where he was under the tutelage of some great baseball minds. Pete Dunn guided the Hatters for 37 years and compiled a 1312-888-3 collegiate coaching record before retiring in 2016, Larry Jones, father of Atlanta Braves All-Star third basemen Chipper, Milwaukee Brewers pitching coach Derek Johnson and current Winthrop University head coach Tom Riginos were all brains that McCallum has had the luxury to pick.

After leaving Stetson, highlighted by a 48-16 senior season and a regional final loss to Georgia Tech, McCallum embarked on a professional career that led him to the Seattle Mariners and Florida Marlins minor league systems, the independent ranks, the senior national team on five occasions and four winters in Australia as a player/coach.

Eric Thrower
Eric Thrower grew up playing the Etobicoke Rangers organization, eventually moving on to play 2 years as an outfielder at Ventura College in California (NJCAA), and 3 years at Georgetown College in Kentucky (NAIA). He has been coaching with the Rangers for 4 years working with hitters, outfielders, and baserunners. He is also currently an assistant coach at Humber College.
